Kurt Abalos

As a master’s student at the Taipei School of Economics and Political Science, Kurt Abalos continues to advance and broaden his knowledge of the global political economy, regional security and diplomacy, and economic development. He first learned the basic foundations of similar themes in the European Studies Program at the Ateneo de Manila University. He then experienced firsthand diplomacy between the Philippines and the Republic of China (Taiwan) as an executive assistant and developed his newfound interest in the island nation and the East Asian region. In his final semester, he seeks to use the knowledge and research from his master’s program professionally as an intern for the ISDP’s Stockholm Taiwan Center.
