Namgyun Kim stayed at ISDP for one year as a visiting researcher from June, 7, 2016. He is from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea and has worked most of his 13 years´ experience on the transport sector, ranging from domestic regulation on the passenger transport industry to international cooperation through OECD and UNDP.

At ISDP, he will work to develop Korea’s ‘Eurasian Transport Network’ project which aims to facilitate transport of passengers and freight from the Korean Peninsula all the way through the Eurasian continent. His research is mainly enhancing the international cooperation for the integrated transport network across the Eurasian continent. This includes ways of harmonizing the Korean initiative with international organisations and policy of neighboring countries such as China and Russia.
