Ambassador Morimoto will explain Japan’s approach and contribution to stability and security in the Asia-Pacific region.
H.E. Ambassador Seiji Morimoto is currently the Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Sweden. Ambassador Morimoto holds a B.A. degree in Public Law from the University of Tokyo and has extensive experience from the Japanese Ministry for Foreign Affairs. After joining the Ministry in 1975, he subsequently held the positions of Director of the International Press Division, Director of the First West Europe Division at the European and Oceanian Affairs Bureau and Senior Coordinator for Intelligence Analysis at the Information and Research Bureau.
Prior to assuming the position of Ambassador of Japan to the Sweden, he was Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman and to the Permanent Mission of Japan to the International Organizations in Vienna. Furthermore, Ambassador Morimoto is a Guest Professor in Middle Eastern Studies at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, University of Tokyo.
