Julian Tucker and Johannes Nordin
The chapter explores China’s growing international engagement and changing perceptions, discussing how Beijing’s trade priorities and supply chains affect Europe. It subsequently addresses Beijing’s authoritarian tendencies over the past decade and how they impact the logic that has long underpinned Sino-European relations. Finally, it looks ahead with a discussion on how the European Union and Sweden should act moving forward.
This chapter by Johannes Nordin and Julian Tucker is published in The Swedish Defense Association’s (Allmänna Försvarsföreningen) publication titled ”En ny generations röster om försvaret av demokratin” [Voices of a New Generation on the Defense of Democracy] published on August 15, 2023.
