The conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, unresolved for 25 years, has escalated in an almost linear fashion since 2008, culminating in a four-day war a year ago. This conflict poses a threat to international security that is not given its right due, and which most decision-makers have neglected for over a decade. The Institute for Security & Development Policy is pleased to welcome James Sherr, Associate Fellow and former Head of the Russia and Eurasia Programme of Chatham House; and Svante Cornell, Director of ISDP, for a discussion on the international politics of this conflict, including the role of the EU, and Russia.
The recently published book on the conflict edited by Dr. Cornell, will be available at the event.
