Diogenes Issue on Global Ethics

Books & Monographs March, 2023, Vol. 64 Issue 1-2, February 2017.

“A Global Ethic has a fundamental role to play not only in defining basic values but also in reaching transcultural consensus about the meaning of key notions such as ‘well-being’ and ‘good governance’.”

This Diogenes issue on Global Ethics brings together 14 articles from scholars around the world centered around the theme of Global Ethics from the perspectives of European and Chinese culture. This project initially sprung out of a webinar on Chinese and European Resources for a Global Ethic organized by Union Académique Internationale (UAI) in collaboration with the Stockholm China Center at the Institute for Security and Development Policy in November 2020. 12 of the papers that were presented at the webinar as well as an additional two are now available to a wider audience in the Diogenes issue on Global Ethics. Here you can find the issue.
