August 2023: ISDP is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Frida Lampinen as a Project Coordinator and Junior Research Fellow at ISDP’s Asia Program.

Ms. Lampinen recently completed an internship at ISDP. She holds a master’s degree in political science and a bachelor’s degree in political science and Chinese, both from Uppsala University. Ms. Lampinen’s research interests are focused on international relations and foreign policy in East Asia, with a particular interest in the politics of the Korean Peninsula. She has had the opportunity to study at Pukyong National University in Busan, South Korea.

“I am thrilled to join ISDP and I look forward to working with such brilliant colleagues. East Asia is steadily gaining significance as a global political arena with implications for international security and development policy. Amid rising tensions, the region faces big challenges but also shows prospects of positive engagement. It will certainly be very interesting to follow the developments together with the Asia Program team, our international partners and our audiences,” said Frida Lampinen.
