Four New Guest Researchers Arrive at ISDP

On Monday, April 4th, ISDP received four new guest researchers who will be spending the spring at the Institute. 

Ms. Ei Phyo Maw and Ms. Zarni Win, from the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Myanmar Development Resource Institute (MDRI-CSIS) will spend two months at ISDP.

Ms. Ei Phyo Maw holds a B.Sc in Statistics from Dagon University. She has a strong interest to work in the development sector, and has previously worked at the Norwegian Refugee Council and International Organization for Migration for Southeast Region in Myanmar.  She recently finished her MPA Programme from CSIS.

Ms. Zarni Win operates in the business sector, providing assistance to non-government organizations, with a special focus on NGOs performing social welfares programs. She holds a Master of Professional Studies in Political Management (MPM) from the Centre of Strategic and International Studies(CSIS) Myanmar, and is currently undergoing Ph.D program in CSIS Myanmar.

Col. Dr. Chen Ting and Lt. Col. Dr. Tong Zhen from the People’s Liberation Army, Academy for Military Science (PLA-AMS), China, will spend three months at ISDP.

Colonel Dr. Chen Ting, is an associate research fellow at the Department of Foreign Military Studies, Academy of Military Science PLA. She holds a Master’s Degree in military science from Nanjing Politics College, and a PhD Degree in legal science from the Law School of Tsinghua University.

Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Tong Zhen is an assistant researcher at the Office of American and Oceanian Military Studies, Department of Foreign Military Studies, Academy of Military Science PLA. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese Language and Literature and a Master’s Degree in World History. She holds a PhD degree in World Economy from the  Chinese Academy of Social Science (CASS).
