Julia Marcher

Julia Marcher is an intern at the Stockholm China Center at ISDP. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Chinese from Uppsala University, she is currently in her final year of the master’s programme in Languages, focusing on Chinese studies and linguistics. Her main areas of interest include Chinese history and culture, mass media, social and foreign policy, as well as Sino-Japanese relations. In her bachelor’s thesis, she examined work-life balance discourse in China through media coverage of the ”lie-flat” trend among Chinese youth.
