Caspian Tannerfors

Caspian Tannerfors is an intern at the Silk Road Study Program at ISDP. He is currently pursuing a masters in Russian and Eurasian Studies at Uppsala University, specialising in Central Asian and Ukrainian trade relations, resource/energy policy, and regional hegemonic influences. Aiming to further the discussions on the cultural and political capital attached to infrastructure and primary energy resources in Eurasia.

Caspian obtained his bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Organisations from Leiden University, focusing on international political economy and African politics. His BSc thesis examined the entrenchment of multinational hegemonic elite networks in West-African affairs through the establishment of foreign military and energy infrastructure.
