Yi-Chieh Chen shared insights on bridging Taiwan and Sweden at National Chung Hsing University

On May 29, Yi-Chieh Chen, Project Manager and Junior Research Fellow at ISDP’s Stockholm Taiwan Center, was invited to speak at the Graduate Institute of International Politics, National Chung Hsing University.

Her presentation, titled “A Taiwanese Perspective on Working at a Swedish Think Tank: Experience Sharing,” offered insights into her role as a bridge between Taiwan and Sweden. Drawing from her work at ISDP, Chen shared her unique experiences navigating cross-cultural collaboration, policy research, and international dialogue. She highlighted the importance of mutual understanding and sustained academic exchange in strengthening Taiwan’s presence in European policy discussions. The event provided students and faculty with a first-hand perspective on the opportunities and challenges of working in an international think tank environment. Chen’s talk encouraged greater participation from young Taiwanese scholars in global policy networks and fostered meaningful dialogue on Taiwan’s role in international affairs.
