The ISDP Korea Center and their new guest researcher visited the Ministry for Employment’s Division for Gender Equality

January 20, 2026: On January 19th, ISDP’s Korea Center visited the Ministry of Employment’s Division for Gender Equality to assist Dr. Hannah June Kim with her gender research. During the meeting, it became clear that Sweden has made a long-term investment in gender equality politics, with the concept of gender mainstreaming being especially important in explaining Sweden’s success in supporting the gender equality agenda in the country. Sweden, as a leading country in terms of gender equality, can serve as an example and source of inspiration for South Korea’s gender equality endeavors.
