ISDP welcomed Ulrik Nilsson for a discussion on election observation missions and challenges for democracies
Yesterday, on January 8, Ulrik Nilsson, Member of the Swedish Parliament (Riksdag) from the Moderaterna party, visited the Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP) office to discuss international election observation missions in countries including Poland, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Serbia, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. The discussion focused on his experiences, observations, the challenges posed by authoritarian states to democracies, and internal challenges within democratic systems.
Mr. Nilsson is a member of the Committee on the Constitution, the Committee on EU affairs, and the Swedish Delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA).
