ISDP met with visiting experts and scholars from New Zealand, hosted by the New Zealand Embassy in Sweden

November 5, 2025: ISDP Director Dr. Niklas Swanström, Head of the Center for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs Dr. Jagannath Panda, Head of the Korea Center Amb. Lars Vargo and Asia program intern Melita Phachulia attended a meeting with the visiting experts and scholars from New Zealand, hosted by the New Zealand Embassy in Sweden. The meeting was presided over by H.E. David Taylor, Ambassador of New Zealand in Sweden.

The visiting New Zealand delegation comprised experts such as Prof. David Capie, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Victoria University of Wellington, Prof. Jason Young, Director, New Zealand Contemporary China Research Centre of the University of Wellington, and Dr. Natasha Hamilton-Hart, Professor in the Business School of the University of Auckland, including staff members. The discussion covered a wide range of topics from Arctic politics to Sino-Russian alliance, China-EU engagement to China-India and India-USA Ties, among others.
