ISDP at Europe–China Knowledge Forum 2026
On 12 June 2026, Yifei Zhu and Maud Descamps from ISDP’s Stockholm China Center attended the Europe–China Knowledge Forum 2026 (ECKF) at the Egmont Palace in Brussels.
Organized within the framework of the ReConnect China project, the forum brought together policymakers, diplomats, academics, and security experts from across Europe to discuss key issues in EU–China relations, including de-risking, technological competition, regional security, and the future of international governance.
During the forum, the two ISDP researchers took part in discussions on China’s economic trajectory, EU–China trade frictions, China’s influence in Africa, China’s role in the Arctic, and the future landscape of EU–China relations. Their participation allowed ISDP to contribute to ongoing European debates on China-related issues while engaging directly with leading China specialists, policy practitioners, and representatives from European institutions.
The forum also provided an opportunity for the two researchers to exchange views on current developments in EU–China relations, explore potential areas for future cooperation, and further strengthen ISDP’s network among European experts and policy communities working on China and global affairs.
