“From NATO’s Eastern Flank to Indo-Pacific: Defence Industry as a Medium of Cooperation”: Jagannath Panda attended an event organized by the University of Warsaw
April 16, 2026: Dr. Jagannath Panda, Head of the Stockholm Center for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs, attended an event titled “From NATO’s Eastern Flank to Indo-Pacific: Defence Industry as a Medium of Cooperation” organized by the University of Warsaw on 9 April 2026. Dr. Panda moderated the event and spoke about the future of NATO and the prospects of Defense industrial cooperation between Europe and the Indo-Pacific powers, primarily between Poland and South Korea. The speakers of the event were Dr. Brendan M. Howe (Ewha Women’s University), Prof. Dong-Jong Jo (Seoul National University), Dr. Choong-Koo Lee (Korean Institute for Defence Analysis), and Dr. A-Yun Jin (Korea Institute of Defence Analysis). Dr. Saroj Kumar Aryal (Warsaw University) and Ms. Zuzana Ptaszynska (University of Warsaw) served as discussants in the event. Students and faculty members of the University of Warsaw and the larger strategic community participated in the deliberation.
