Running on Fumes: Russian Diesel and Fuel Security (A Perspective from Central Asia and the Caucasus)
Webinar organized by the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute, American Foreign Policy Council:
Most of the diesel coverage lately has been about Ukraine, Russia, American tractors, and the midterms. This webinar is a basic explainer on diesel itself, and on the stories underneath those headlines that are getting much less attention (and probably deserve more). Dr. Theresa Sabonis-Helf of Georgetown will walk us through what the diesel crisis means for Central Asia and the South Caucasus, including whether winter flights into Dushanbe are at risk.
Featuring: Dr. Theresa Sabonis-Helf, Professor of Practice and Concentration Chair for Science, Technology, and International Affairs, Georgetown University
Moderated by: Ms. Laura Linderman, Senior Fellow for Eurasia and Director of Programs, Central Asia-Caucasus Institute, American Foreign Policy Council
