Nuclear Proliferation Concerns in Asia

Dr. Manpreet Sethi will discuss some of the aspects of the Asian nuclear reality, the concerns of proliferation in the region and the likely trigger points for future proliferation. Dr. Sethi will also examine possible solutions to these issues.

Dr. Manpreet Sethi heads the project on Nuclear Security at the Centre for Air Power Studies. She received her Ph.D from Latin American Division of the School of International Studies, JNU, New Delhi and thereafter served on the research faculty of IDSA, New Delhi. She is author of the books Nuclear Strategy: India’s March towards Credible Deterrence (2009) and Argentina’s Nuclear Policy (1999); co-author of Nuclear Deterrence and Diplomacy (2004) and editor of Towards a Nuclear Weapons Free World (2009), Global Nuclear Challenges (2009). Her research papers have been published nationally and internationally. She regularly lectures at all leading training establishments of Indian Armed Forces and participates in track II diplomatic initiatives.
