The friendly relationship between China and Pakistan, which has been formed from traditional geopolitical pattern and the strategic need in the new era, has forced Pakistan to play a unique role in the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.The CPEC will start a new age of the relations between China and Pakistan, which may deepen historical problems, but could also creat new problems in the process of carrying out the program. Both China and Pakistan should take a rational ways to deal with the CEPC. Dr. Jianjun Ding will during her presentation explore these issues.
Dr. Jianjun Ding joined ISDP as a visiting researcher in October 2015, for a fourteen month stay. Dr. Ding works for the Pakistan Study Center of Sichuan University, China, and her main research interests encompass South Asia, especially Pakistan Politics, Pakistan Foreign Policy, and the relationship between China and Pakistan.
