Romane Castel

Romane Castel is an intern at the Stockholm China Center at ISDP. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a specialization in International Relations and a minor in International Development Studies, from the University of Amsterdam. She completed her Master’s degree in Conflict, Security, and Development at King’s College London in the 2025–26 academic year. Her research has focused on conflict, foreign policy, and security in East, South, and Southeast Asia. Her areas of interest include China’s international relations and foreign policy, particularly its engagement with neighboring countries and its role in regional conflict and security dynamics.
