June 29, 2026: Anna Wieslander, Chair of the ISDP Board, was quoted by Dagens Nyheter regarding Sweden’s participation in the NATO meeting in Bergen.
A small group of NATO countries, including Sweden, met at the initiative of the United States. Anna Wieslander argues that the fact that Sweden is seen as a role model also entails a responsibility to promote cohesion. Norway hosted the meeting, but the initiative came from the United States. Sweden was invited along with Finland, Germany, Poland, and the Netherlands.
