Sveriges Radio featured the ISDP report on the China-Europe Academic Engagement Tracker
April 13, 2026: Sveriges Radio featured the ISDP report on the China-Europe Academic Engagement Tracker. The report was part of the China-Europe Academic Engagement Tracker – a database of interactions between European academic institutions and Chinese entities created by the Central European Institute of Asian Studies (CEIAS) and partners from the countries studied.
“KTH has decided not to renew its agreement with the state-run Harbin Institute of Technology in China, according to Dagens Nyheter.
The university in China is one of several that have been labeled with the highest risk level by the independent research institute, the Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP).
These are universities that, among other things, develop weapons for the Chinese military. And this is where espionage may occur, says Christopher Peterstam of ISDP to the newspaper.”
