February 27, 2026: Dr. Jagannath Panda, the Head of the Stockholm Center for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs, spoke in an online panel on “India’s recalibration towards Russia and China: Strategic autonomy at play” organised by The Democracy Forum (TDF), London.
The panelists were Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Dean, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi; Ms. Eerishika Pankaj, Director, Organisation for Research on China and Asia (ORCA), New Delhi, and Dr. Sreeram Chaulia, Professor and Dean, Jindal School of International Affairs & Director General, Jindal India Institute, India. This panel was moderated by Humphrey Hawksley, a celebrated Author & former BBC Asia correspondent. Lord Charles Edward Bruce delivered an inaugural address, and Barry Gardiner MP, Chair of TDF, also served as a commentator and expressed a vote of thanks.
