November 13, 2025: Jagannath Panda, Head of the Stockholm Center for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs, was quoted by the Express Tribune on Pakistan getting Chinese Hangor-class submarines in 2026.
Jagannath Panda said the Hangor-class fleet would “thicken” Pakistan’s sea-denial posture in the northern Arabian Sea and raise costs for Indian anti-submarine operations.
