GLOBSEC, Microsoft and ISDP organized a roundtable discussion on building and defending resilient digital infrastructure amid increasing physical and cyber threats

May 12, 2025: On 8 May in Stockholm, GLOBSEC GeoTech, Microsoft, and the Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP) brought together government leaders, legislators, and tech experts to answer one big question:

What does it take to build—and defend—resilient digital infrastructure when both physical and cyber threats keep multiplying?

The three standout insights identified were:

• Public-private distance = vulnerability. True resilience demands the private sector at the table from day one.
• Interoperability + continuity + rapid recovery are the holy trinity of robust infrastructure—and none happen without deep tech involvement.
• Plan, prepare, practice—together. Joint drills mean everyone knows who acts when during a crisis.
