Nerea Alvarez Ariztegui

Nerea Alvarez Ariztegui is an intern at the Stockholm Korea Center at ISDP. He is currently pursuing a Master in War and Defence at the Swedish Defence University. Nerea holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Navarra, with a focus on East Asian relations.  In his Bachelor thesis, he examined South Korean international relations. His research focuses on war, security, gender and Asia. His Master thesis analyses gender dynamics in the governance of human trafficking in Myanmar. He has contributed to publications in East Asia Forum and the book “La invasion de la Federación Rusa a Ucrania”, on a chapter on South Korean and Japanese responses to the invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
