Feride Bahar Erdoğan is a Visiting Researcher at the ISDP from 1 June to 31 July 2026, under the Erasmus+ internship programme. During her fellowship at ISDP, she will be conducting advanced research for her PhD thesis, focusing on non-Western and middle power mediation capacities.

Ms. Erdoğan is a doctoral candidate in the Department of International Relations at Ankara Social Sciences University (ASBU) in Türkiye. Parallel to her academic career, she has extensive professional experience in global project management, public policy, and international cooperation. She currently serves as an EU Expert and Contract Manager at the Turkish Ministry of Labour and Social Security, where she oversees the technical and financial implementation of EU-funded programmes.

Prior to her current role, she spent over three years as a Project Associate with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), managing operational aspects and financial frameworks for large-scale border surveillance capacity projects. She has also served as the Head of the Legislation Follow-up Department at the Social Security Institution and has held various key leadership and advisory roles within the Turkish government and various NGOs.

Ms. Erdoğan holds a Master’s degree in European Studies from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome—which she completed as a prestigious Jean Monnet Scholarship fellow—as well as a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Ankara University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of international relations theory, niche diplomacy and emerging issues in global governance.
