Associated Research Fellow
Claudia Milena Adler is a lecturer and researcher in International Humanitarian Affairs with a focus on humanitarian security, development, and protection. Her research critically examines the structural drivers of insecurity that oppress girls and women from marginalised and rural communities across the Global South. She explores how conflict, climate-related risks, and uneven development intersect to reproduce harm, exclusion, and unequal access to protection. Currently, Claudia is engaging with ancient and Indigenous knowledge systems from the Global South to inform locally grounded and decolonial responses to contemporary security and development challenges, including climate change. Her work highlights the implications for health, wellbeing, and social cohesion in contexts of disaster, conflict, and protracted humanitarian crises.
