Jagannath Panda participated in a couple of panels at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 in Davos

January 22, 2026: Dr. Jagannath Panda, Head of the Stockholm Center for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs, participated in a couple of panels at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, held from 19-23 January 2026. On day 1, Dr. Panda was a panelist at the Leaders Forum titled “Providing Security in the era of global disorder: How to protect our states and societies?”. This event was organized by the Centrum Stosunków Międzynarodowych, THINKTANK, Poland, and Dr. Malgorzata Bonikowska. Other panellists were Matthew Kaminski (USA), Mansour Al Marzoqi (Saudi Arabia), Mariusz Kaczmarek (Poland), and Konrad Gołota (Poland).

On Day 2, Dr. Panda was invited by the World Women’s House in Davos to speak on a panel titled “Security & Resilience Dialogue”. The panel focused on safeguarding critical infrastructure and ensuring economic continuity in the face of hybrid warfare, cyber threats, and real-time global crises. The panel addressed critical questions such as: What are the best policy frameworks? What is the role of technology in fostering adaptability and collaborative approaches to risk management? How do companies manage cyberattacks and provide security for employees? Aleksandra Karasińska, Director, Ringier Axel Springer Polska Foundation, for hosting this. The other panellists were Anna Malec and Sebastian Mikosz.
