In recent years, as China has grown ever more powerful and increasingly repressive at home and aggressive abroad, American and European attitudes toward the PRC have hardened substantially. In his presentation, Dr. Scott W. Harold will offer one U.S. observer’s perspective on the factors driving these shifts in U.S. and European views of China, policies that key actors are taking, and how trans-Atlantic cooperation on China is likely to unfold in the near- to medium-term.

ISDP is delighted to welcome Dr. Harold, Senior Political Scientist at The RAND Corporation, as the speaker of this webinar. In addition to his work at RAND, Dr. Harold is an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service; an Adjunct Professor at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University; and an Adjunct Professor at The Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University.

ISDP’s Executive Director, Dr. Niklas Swanström, will moderate this event.
