Joel von Rothkirch

Joel von Rothkirch is an intern at the Stockholm Center for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs and is currently in the final semester of his Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Economics at the University of Erfurt. His studies have focused on global power structures and the role of state and non-state actors, with a regional emphasis on the Asia-Pacific during his exchange year at Vilnius University. Building on this focus, his Bachelor’s thesis examines the depoliticization of power as a mechanism that empowers private actors within a neoliberal order.
