Lisa Bruining is an intern at the Asia Program at ISDP. She is currently in the final year of the Master’s degree in International Governance and Diplomacy at Sciences Po in Paris, where she is specializing in negotiation, East Asia, and migration. Lisa also holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Organizations from Leiden University, where she focused on Asian politics and conflict mediation. In her bachelor’s thesis, she examined the prevalence of populism in the wider spectrum of South Korean politics and its effect on gender policies and antifeminism in the country. Her research and interests center around diplomacy, migration, gender, and Asia.
