Jagannath Panda spoke at the Krakow Security Forum, organized by APEIRON, and delivered a lecture on “Hormuz 2030 at Jagiellonian University

May 11, 2026: Dr. Jagannath Panda, Head of the Stockholm Center for South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs, spoke at the Krakow Security Forum, organized by APEIRON in Poland, from 7-9 May 2026. He spoke about ‘Hormuz 2030: What Implications for European Security in Times to Come’ and participated in the discussion. This event was attended by many Polish military strategists, maritime experts, university Professors, and scholars, including those from various EU countries.  

Dr. Panda also visited Jagiellonian University in Krakow and delivered a lecture on “Hormuz 2030: China, India and the Next Great Chokepoint” at the Institute of the Middle and Far East. The Director of the institute, Prof. Lukasz Fyderek, hosted the lecture, and faculty and senior scholars attended.
