Gender Equality in the Workplace: Korea-Nordic Cooperative Perspectives: 2026 KWDI-ISDP Conference in Commemoration of International Women’s Day
March 6, 2026: Josephine Ørgaard Rasmussen, Project Manager of the Korea Center at ISDP, has recently travelled to Seoul alongside Anna Collins Falk, from the Swedish Gender Equality Agency, to exchange perspectives on gender equality in South Korea and Sweden.
One of the main events of the visit was the 2026 KWDI-ISDP Conference in Commemoration of International Women’s Day. The topic was “Gender Equality in the Workplace: Korea-Nordic Cooperative Perspectives”.
ISDP had the honor of inviting Anna Collins-Falk, International Coordinator and Senior Policy Advisor at the Swedish Gender Equality Agency, to speak at this event. With over 30 years of experience working with gender equality policies, she represented Sweden and its approach to gender equality in the workplace at the event.
Dr. Gu Mi Young, Director of the Division for Women’s Employment Research, served as the second speaker, representing KWDI and Korea.
Josephine Ørgaard Rasmussen moderated the roundtable discussion, in which the distinguished experts addressed the two presentations and how Sweden and Korea could collaborate in the future to address shared challenges of gender inequality in the workplace, such as the gender pay gap and the impact of AI and new technologies on the job market.
