Drug Prevention

The usage of illicit drugs in the western world is of major concern to the public health of citizens. It is also a problem of regional security as funds from drug trafficking prolongs violent conflicts and destabilizes source and transit countries. Drug trafficking fuels transnational organized crime groups who corrodes on the integrity of states.

ISDP efforts in drug prevention are based on the institutes research on the societal effects of drug trafficking. The project primarily targets youngsters in the age 15 to 19 but also adults engaged in drug prevention. ISDP has produced an information brochure with arguments that appeal to youngsters' social engagement in environment, poverty and human rights issues.
