Non-Resident Research Fellow

Nicklas Norling is a Non-Resident Research Fellow at ISDP and Assistant Editor of the China and Eurasia Forum Quarterly. During Fall 2008-Spring 2009 he will be a Visiting Scholar at SAIS, Johns Hopkins University, US.

He holds an MA degree in Political Science from Stockholm University. His articles have appeared in Asian Survey, Central Asian Survey and other journals and his comments on regional events in Asia frequently appear in both national broadcasts and the international print media.

He currently specializes in Central Asia,South Asia, and the Middle East at the center, and his main expertise are in the fields of regional cooperation, trade, and security issues. He is also the initiator of a project on energy and confidence-building in Eurasia. The project is a joint effort in cooperation with the Institute of Political and International Studies, Tehran, Iran
